We spent years working for the big box retailers across Northern California. We learned the systems, the logistics, the scale. But we also saw the same pattern repeat: customers with genuine problems—a broken refrigerator, a fitness setup that wasn't working, a recliner that didn't recline—getting treated like transactions instead of people.
One day we realized the people calling us had the same needs we had at home. They wanted someone who would show up, listen, and actually solve the problem. Not rush to the next job. Not upsell them on features they didn't need. Not disappear after the delivery truck left.
So we started our own shop. We focused on three things: appliances, fitness equipment, and motion furniture—categories we knew inside and out from years serving Northern California families. We became factory authorized for most brands because that meant direct access to parts, knowledge, and warranty support. And we built relationships with every major home warranty provider because we wanted to meet people where they already were.
The early days were messy. We learned which brands cut corners. We learned which problems repeat and which are one-offs. We learned what customers actually ask for versus what they really need. We stayed open late because that's when people could visit. We answered questions on Sunday because that's when families plan their week.
